H.U.M.A.N.S

What the glorious fuck?! We've been arrested to our homes, essentially, until this thing blows over?! How do people work? How do people survive? What's the world going to look like after this shit storm? Never in a million years did I think I would the apocalypse at my age. Never thought survival skills we learned as children meant something. We thought it was a joke because we, humans, would never disturb the natural order of....well, then there's that. And, the solutions are obvious to the entire world who are suffering from this horrific destruction. We choose to continue to shake hands with devils who swindle our rights and steal our dignity. It's no wonder we are where we are. We value only ourselves and ourselves alone.
When I was a little girl, politicians will punch one another in the face for disgracing their name, however, these days, we celebrate charlatans and the rapacious as if they were Gods. There was a level of decorum. I feel, and this is just a feeling, we are creating our demise faster and faster as I get older to the point, where I'll have to explain what trees looked like or how the rain fell from the sky or some other apocalyptic movie scene we've watched a thousand times. It has come to this. A virus, wiping out humanity, in the year 3442.
As poetic as that may sound it is devastating to watch. Hundreds of thousands of people dropping off the planet like flies. Every day the expiration date to when we can get back to our lives keeps extending further and further out as if we aren't paying attention. Curfews being issued. Fines for going outside. While all of this unimaginable is happening, people are choosing to use ego over humanity. Feelings of their own protection over others who need more. We are summoning demons from the old Romans and making grave mistakes that will cost us more than our humanity, it will cost us our home. So, I ask you, whoever reads this, in the cloud, in the future, if you read this know that some of us tried. We apologize we failed. Some of us died saving and some of us are dying because they saved. For those of us who fought, we did what we could and wouldn't want it any other way. I can't say much about those who didn't. I will say that they played their part. They took a different route and landed not so safe. Some of those lost lives and some of those are still losing lives. No matter what, we did our best. It's up to you all to fight the system. The road is long. The tasks are tough. You will lose many and gain many along the way. Learn as you go and commit o the bigger picture. Be sure to laugh every now and again, keeps you grounded and, don't forget, prepare yourself. The beginning is always rough.
