Dear Brook
When last we spoke, the concern was about something not so important. I was trying to make things right and make them better than out examples you were hung up on details that would not enhance or destroy the quality of your life but you needed to know details rather than being in the present moment with the amicable split I was proposing. This is the anthem of our relationship. You bully your way towards an argument and I sherpa you into adulthood, I no longer need to do that with anyone. I write to you to keep this friendly and let you know how I am doing in this life we began together.
I am looking for an apartment by myself for once in posh areas because I deserve it and have never lived that way. I am working in some posh areas so the merriment will be rewarding. I plan to travel smart this year to places I believe promote happiness, pictures will happen eventually. I wish you could be doing this with me. There are some readings happening that I will attend, some dance performances that I will attend and somehow I might begin to teach salsa and tango. I think it was my calling all along but I have avoided it for some reason, figures. I have reconnected with some distant people and lost connections with others but the ebb and flow isn't as arduous as ours and it's always getting better. I have a new found love for eggs, go figure, and am exploring things I would not have done and it all is thanks to you. Because of your ways to compartmentalize and sift through the monkey mind, I watched you closely, I too can put things in perspective, much like these letters to you. So far, I have made arrangements to upgrade my life and slowly planning to take over the world lol. I wish you cold see the weather here and feel it's chill on your skin. The clouds don't seem as desperate as you once thought. The trees stands so tall here like they are proud to be Oregonians and of course, the coffee shops are plentiful. You're missing out on quality hang time, which I know you need, but you are also missing out on some evolution here in portland...she's growing up. It may not be pretty right now but she's making her statement and it may be quite amazing once she gets it together. I hope your days and nights are filled with life engulfing you to the fullest of happiness and great experiences. I hope your enjoying your new job with new opportunities and I hope that they know what a badass you are with what you do. You are quite a gem and if they know whats good for them, they'd keep you. Sending you joy all the time.
